Baseball

Aside from the following special betting rules, the common betting rules apply. The special rules will take precedence over the common rules nevertheless.

1.) Extra Innings: Unless otherwise stated, bets will be settled on the official result including any extra innings.

2.) Playing Time: If the game is abandoned, the results will be deemed official if at least five (5) innings have been played (4 ½ innings, if the home team is leading). The winner is determined by the score after the last full inning (unless the game is abandoned in the bottom half of the inning and the home team is leading, in which case the home team is deemed the winner).

If not otherwise stated this rule applies to all bets.

Exceptions:

  • ‘Live Betting:’  Game must go full scheduled length to have action on all markets - 9 innings (8 ½ if the home team is ahead) for 9 inning games, or to 7 innings (6 ½ if the home team is ahead) for 7 inning games. If the game is called before this time then all bets will be void, except for those that have been unconditionally determined.
  • Finnish Baseball: two halves must be played for bets to stand.
  • Totals: Bets will be settled on the official score after 9 innings (8 ½ innings if the home team is leading). In the event that extra innings are required to complete the game, bets will be settled based on the final official score. If the game is called at an earlier point in time, all bets will be declared void, except when the greatest possible total score that can be bet on has already been reached, in which case all bets stand.

3.) Date: All games must be played on the scheduled calendar day (at the venue) and at the scheduled venue. Otherwise all bets on the game will be void. However, if a game has been suspended after the game has started, due to a weather delay or other deferral, and resumes within 36 hours after the original start time, all wagers will stand. If a suspended game resumes more than 36 hours after the original start time, and the requirements for Minimum Length of Play have not been satisfied, all wagers will be void except for those that have been unconditionally determined prior to the game’s suspension. If a play off game date changes or match is completed on a subsequent day bets will stand. Play-Off game winner will be paid based on the official winner of this game as determined by MLB though all listed pitcher rules still apply.

4.) Run Line: Bets will be settled on the official result after 9 innings (8 ½ innings if the home team is leading) including any needed extra innings.

Early termination: if a game is terminated due to large lead, all run line bets stand (applies to World Baseball Classics, World Cup and Olympic competitions only).

5.) “Grand Salami”/MLB: This bet refers to the total number of runs scored over all the matches played on a given day. Only games played on the day (according to the MLB schedule) count. Should any games be postponed or any games added to the schedule after the initial odds have been posted then all bets will be void. Should any games be abandoned during play, then all bets will be void.

6.) Division Champions: If the season is shortened for any reason then bets will be settled based on the Division Champion declared by the respective governing authority.

7.) In what situation will (player X) find himself at the end of his 1st at bat: Bets will be settled on the action following the nominated batter leaving the home plate. He will either be “Out”, “On Base” or he will score a “Home Run”. Any actions caused by another batters appearance on the home plate do not count for betting purposes.

8.) If a moneyline, total or handicap bet ends in a draw and no odds have been offered for this option, all bets will be void.

9.) Player special bets: Players that are the subject of a player prop bet must start for the bet to stand.  Specifically, bets on a position player’s performance will stand once the player has a had a plate appearance. Further, bets on a pitcher’s performance will stand once that pitcher has thrown a pitch for their team. For any player v. player propositions, both players must start the game and have an official appearance as set forth above for the bet to stand.  Further, these player v. player bets will be deemed official once at least one of the players has left the game, regardless of the ultimate outcome and/or completion of the game. Except as specified above, all games must be played and considered an official game by MLB for bets to stand.

MLB games are subject to weather postponements, where a game can start and then be stopped due to inclement weather and then moved to another date. We will cancel all player proposition bets when a game is postponed in this manner. However, we will not cancel player proposition bets that have been unconditionally determined at the time of the postponement.

For MLB in-play props, we will cancel bets if a bet is placed on a market for a player who is subsequently taken out of the game before they are able to accrue more stats. For a bet on a batting market for position player, this would be where the player does not make a subsequent plate appearance after the bet was placed. For a bet on a pitching market for a pitcher (or a batting market for a pitcher in the case of National League pitchers), this would be where the pitcher does not throw another pitch after the bet was placed.

10.) Player vs. player match-ups – long-term (e.g. Which player will score the most runs in the regular season? Player A/Player B): If one player is not on the active roster of day one of the regular season, all bets will be void. If either player switches teams, combined statistics count.

11.) How many regular season wins will team X record?: The team must play 160 regular season games for bets to stand.

12.) Series betting: A Series according to this bet is a number of games (usually 3 or 4) which are played in a row by the same teams at the same venue. Series betting refers to the team who wins more matches within the series - in case of a draw (both teams win the same amount of matches) all bets are void.

  • Only games finished within the specified time frame for the series count.
  • If one team should play another opponent between the scheduled games of the series, this game has no influence on the series betting.
  • For all bets to stand, at least one game of the series has to be played.
  • If a game during the series is called, this game is considered valid for the series if there is an officially declared winner.
  • A suspended game from a previous series is not considered part of the current series.
  • If a game is delayed or suspended for any reason but continued and finished within the same day, the game counts for the series.

13.) Hit(s):To achieve a hit, the batter must reach first base before any fielder can either tag him with the ball, throw to another player protecting the base before the batter reaches it, or tag first base while carrying the ball. The hit is scored the moment the batter reaches first base safely; if he is put out while attempting to stretch his hit to a double or triple or home run on the same play, he still gets credit for a hit (according to the last base he reached safely on the play).

If a batter reaches first base because of offensive interference by a preceding runner (including if a preceding runner is hit by a batted ball), he is also credited with a hit.

14.) Baseball Player Props: Players that are the subject of a player prop must start for bets to stand. Specifically, bets on a position player’s performance will stand once the player has a had a plate appearance. Further, bets on a pitcher’s performance will stand once that pitcher has thrown a pitch for their team.  For any player v. player propositions, both players must start the game and have an official appearance as stated above for bets to stand.

15.) Batter v. Batter Most on Base: Settled using the total number of walks, intentional walks, Hit by Pitch, and hits credited to the batters during their plate appearance. This market does not include dropped third strikes, reach on errors, fielder’s choice, and catcher’s interference.

16.) Player Total Bases: Total bases for a player are recorded through hits. They do not include walks, Hit by Pitch, bases advanced as a runner, reach on errors, or fielder’s choice.

17.) Player Singles/Doubles/Triples/Home Runs: Bets will be settled based on the number of the selected specific outcome that a player records in the designated period.

18.) Outcome of First Pitch (Listed Pitcher): Settled based on the result of the first pitch thrown by the listed pitcher. We will void bets if there is a change to the listed pitcher before the first thrown pitch. For settlement purposes, batted balls that result in the plate appearance ending (ex: hits/outs) do not count as strikes. If a pitcher or batter violation results in an automatic ball or strike, then the market is settled based on the outcome of the violation. Hit by pitch and pitch outs are settled as a “Ball.” The “In-Play” selection includes any type of hit (single, double, etc.) and any batted ball that results in an out(s) being recorded.

19.) Baseball Result of Plate Appearance Props: Listed players must record at least one plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be void). In the event that a player is substituted out of the game between plate appearances, bets on plate appearances that have already occurred will stand. However, bets on future plate appearance markets will be void. For settlement purposes, a fielder’s choice, catcher’s interference hit by pitch will be settled as "other". A batter who reaches first base after a dropped third strike, will be settled as "strikeout". Should a batter be unable to complete a plate appearance due to injury, ejection or other reasons, then all bets will be void. All markets are settled in accordance with official box score statistics declared by MLB as the governing body.
